P*rnography

P*rnography harms individuals, families, and society. We support efforts to restrict access, educate youth, and promote healing.

Our position

P*rnography is an affront to the human person, made in the image and likeness of God, and it perverts the God-given gift of sex.  It degrades the individuals using it and the persons who are featured in p*rnography, and it commoditizes and debases human sexuality that was intended to be a blessing within the bounds of a marital relationship between a man and a woman.  It harms families and marriage relationships.

The pandemic of p*rnography continues to kindle other sexual perversions and means of defiling men and women made in the image of God including human trafficking, pedophilia, domestic violence, and rape.

We support efforts to heighten awareness of the societal and spiritual harms of pr*nography, empowering churches to appropriately address the problems with p*rnography in their communities, increasing regulations on sexually oriented businesses in communities across the state, and strengthening p*rnography laws where possible.

Digital pornography should be accessed by adults only, but most states in the union do not require tech companies, p*rn companies, and social media companies to check users’ age before granting access.
