Jessica Szalacinski
As a surrogate for a wealthy couple, Jessica felt like a commodity, was told by the "intended parents" that they wanted only a boy, and asked to abort one of the twin embryos.

Pattaramon Chanbua
Pattaramon, a Thai surrogate for an Australian couple, is raising the twin boy, Gammy, with Down Syndrome abandoned by his "parents" after they returned to Australia with their twin daughter and left Gammy behind.

Susan Ring
After aborting one of the triplets she was carrying, Susan agreed to raise the twins when their intended parents decided they didn't want the babies after they divorced.

Helen Beasley
Helen, a British surrogate to a wealthy unmarried California couple, is suing the intended parents after they stopped paying her when she refused to abort one of the twins. The intended "parents" also decided they didn't want the babies.

Wassana
"What if they've done something bad to the baby?" she says. "Did I deliver him to some terrible fate?"  "I thought he would be with a good family that would love him...That's what I thought."

Jessica Kern
Born by surrogacy, Jessica feels her story "is a perfect example of what can go wrong when science and the culture of entitlement meet – pitting the selfish desires of adults against the ultimate well-being of children."
