Minnesota Family Institute Update Truth Project Leadership Training Equips Hundreds of New Leaders – the next step towards state-wide transformation February 14, 2008   A near capacity gathering of 534 came together for The Truth Project Leadership Training at the Harbor Church Saturday.   Jointly sponsored by MFI and Focus on the Family, the seminar was a key step in advancing our strategy to implement the Truth Project in churches across the state.  The Truth Project is the most powerful Christian worldview training program we've found for equipping people to think and act biblically in our culture.  The hundreds of leaders trained at the seminar will translate into thousands of grassroots citizens equipped to impact our culture with biblical Truth as “salt and light”. “The efforts of the Minnesota Family Institute and Focus on the Family (FOTF) were truly blessed by God,” said Jim Hansen, Director of Pastor Church Outreach.  “The attendance, which far exceeded expectations, was the largest FOTF local leadership training ever.”   Afterward, FOTF Program Director Marc Fey had this to say about the turnout of Truth Project leader-trainees, the unmistakable energy in the room, and MFC/MFI’s partnership with them:   “What a blessing to be with you, the MFC leadership team, and of course the wonderful people of Minnesota. I have to tell you, that as we concluded the training, I was overwhelmed by a conviction and clear belief that this group of 500 could literally change the world...God is on the move, and I am very excited about what the Lord is doing in Minnesota.”   In the words of Pastor Jim Anderson, Senior Pastor of The Harbor and MFC board member, the response to the Truth Project signifies the beginning of a movement among churches in Minnesota – a movement to equip them with biblical worldview training, and mobilize them to be a biblical influence in our culture.
