$35,000 Gift Matching
Year End Challenge

December 11, 2007

2007 has been a very positive and challenging year.

With the partnership of friends like you, we have made tremendous progress in building a broad grassroots base of support for biblical values in the public arena.  That grassroots base made a huge difference in the last legislative session.  With your help, it will make an even bigger difference in 2008.

Truth ProjectTM ahead of goal

The response to the Truth ProjectTM has been outstanding.  Currently, over 100 churches have committed to a Truth Project.  The Truth Project equips and mobilizes Christians to initiate transformation in their communities and at the state legislature. A recent participant said, “Outside of the Bible, this is one of the most revolutionary tools I have witnessed.”

Help us continue to spread a biblical worldview across Minnesota with a generous year-end donation today…and double your investment with our $35,000 gift matching challenge!

Pastors’ deliver biblical message to Minnesota Senators in Washington D.C.
Our trip to David Barton’s Congressional Pastors’ Briefing with 33 Minnesota pastors was a beacon of hope and a bold call to action.  Coming from across the state, the pastors were bold witnesses to God’s plan for marriage, family and children as they met with Sen. Norm Coleman and staff to Sen. Amy Klobuchar.

Like watchmen on the wall, the pastors made commitments to see that their congregations were registered to vote, to preach sermons on Christian civic involvement and to arming their flock with biblical worldview training by joining our Truth Project initiative.

Show your support for these courageous pastors and help us mobilize hundreds more by making a gift of cash or appreciated stock today and help meet our $35,000 gift matching challenge

Defeat of mandatory sex education and same-sex domestic partnerships

We are making progress protecting your values at the state legislature and equipping Minnesotans with a strong biblical worldview.  With the help of Gov. Pawlenty we were able to block mandatory sex education for all children grades 7-12 and four separate attempts to legalize same-sex relationships.

We need your support to stay on course in 2008

Yes, we are making progress. But we still require your help to meet our financial goals.  MFC/MFI needs your gift – postmarked by December 31 – to fend off a new wave of attacks on children, marriage and family in the 2008 Minnesota legislature.

We anticipate renewed efforts to push same-sex partner benefits, mandate sex education for all public school children, legalize smoked marijuana for “medical” purposes and legalize surrogacy agreements, e.g. paying a woman to carry someone else’s fertilized egg to term and giving up the baby to the other party.

Plus, this is also an important election year. Your financial support today will enable MFC/MFI to distribute voters’ guides and mobilize faithful voters to vote their values next November.

Help us reach our $35,000 gift matching challenge

MFC has received a $35,000 matching grant from several generous donors.  This means you can double your impact by contributing to MFC/MFI between now and December 31st! Gifts of cash and appreciated stock are both eligible for matching.

MFC/MFI is counting on your continued prayers and generosity.  Help us enter 2008 in a strong position for equipping and mobilizing churches with a biblical worldview, and for the legislative and election challenges in the months ahead.

Please return your gift no later than December 31st and the $35,000 matching grant will double your gift!  We must meet the entire amount or we lose any dollars we fail to match. But we know we can count on loyal friends like you, to ensure that doesn't happen. In the coming year the pro-family movement will face many challenges but with your continued help our resolve will not falter.

Thank you, God bless you and Merry Christmas!
